Peel Ports’ PortDirect is a dedicated programme which supports major retailers and their supply chains. Our mission is simple: we aim to bring together UK retailers and cargo owners who are looking for better, sustainable solutions for their supply chains – and in particular, by optimising their cargo flows so arrives in the UK via the closest to end destination port.
Cargo Owners Alliance
Port Direct works as a cargo owners alliance for the import and export of containerised goods in and out of the UK. Together, this community of like-minded businesses explore the potential benefits in moving goods via a co-operative. These include the lowering of transport costs by getting goods closer to their end destination, avoiding costly delays and reducing the carbon emission of supply chains.
